Iggy Azalea claimed that “the Grammys are rigged like crap” while criticizing YouTube and the music industry in general

The Australian rapper took to Twitter on Sunday April 4 to express her “disappointment” on YouTube for not promoting the “controversial” video for her recent collaborative single with Tyga, “Sip It”

“So @YouTube won’t recommend [sic] my video or add it to trending due to ‘video content’,” Azalea wrote “I’ve waited 48 hours and still can’t not getting a real answer from anyone on YouTube as to why they have much more controversial videos on their trending list during the week”

In a follow-up tweet, she added: “I’m really disappointed because I’m independent and dependent on things like this for streaming I sent my video to their staff a week before and they got me said it was perfect, no problem

“I don’t really feel like this is fair, and I would really like someone from YouTube to fix it”

I’m really disappointed because I’m independent and depend on this stuff for streaming I sent my video to their staff a week before and they told me it was perfect, no problem I don’t really feel like this is fair, and I would really like someone at @youtube to fix it 2/2

One fan responded by saying that the sexually charged video “Sip It” “wasn’t even that bad that you were just twerking,” adding that they didn’t understand YouTube’s reasoning “Okay, “replied Azalea” It’s so stupid “

Posting to Twitter the next day (April 5), the musician claimed the video was “still not recommended” by YouTube – but had registered 3Among 4 million views on the platform (at the time of posting) writing, the clip has been watched over 44 million times)

Elsewhere, Azalea turned her attention to the Grammys – claiming the awards show was “rigged like crap” You can see a screenshot below via The Neighborhood Talk

“You all know that now and collectively agree, but forget that the whole business [of music] is run by the same mfs that is planning this event … so why don’t you think the whole industry is in the same way… This YALL logic, “she continued

Today we are at 34 million views and video is still not recommended etc. by YouTube, so it’s all out of our own word of mouth! Can we do 4 at the end of the days? https: // tco / n2dp1r637G

Azalea and Tyga’s joint song, “Sip It,” comes after the duo teamed up in 2018 with “Kream,” which appears on the fourth EP of the former “Survive The Summer”

In 2019, Iggy Azalea was embroiled in a bitter feud with former mentor Tje In an interview, the Hustle Gang rapper described Azalea as his “biggest blunder” after helping her to fame in 2012
