Public Health Sudbury The & Districts (PHSD) has issued a reminder for older residents, especially those 70 and older, how to book an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine

The health unit said that booking online, via a personal computer or smartphone, “is a simple and efficient process” and helps reduce the volume of calls PHSD also informs friends or members of family can help eligible individuals by making an appointment on their behalf

Also, starting April 7 at 8 a.m., adults aged 60 and over (born 1961) will also be able to make an appointment for their vaccination, the PHSD said

Adults 70 and older in 2021 can also call the health unit to make an appointment, PHSD said

For the PHSD main line, dial 705-674-2299 (toll free: 1-800-708-2505), between 7 am and 9 pm, seven days a week

For the alternate phone line, dial 1-844-782-2273, 9 am to 9 pm, seven days a week
