Morinville RCMP have been called to a report of a suspicious death where human remains were found in a burned-out vehicle in Sturgeon County just after midnight Tuesday

Officers responded to Range Road 242 (66 Street) just south of Township Road 542 at around 12:10 p.m.m

“The death has been found to be suspicious and the Alberta RCMP Major Crime Unit is currently investigating with the assistance of the RCMP Legal Identification Unit, General Investigation Section of the Morinville RCMP and the Office of the Fire Investigator, ”the RCMP said in a statement Liberation

The RCMP is asking anyone who was in the 66 Street area between Anthony Henday Drive and Valor Avenue on Monday April 5 between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., to contact the Morinville RCMP at 780-939-4520 or your local police
