Tom Holland to tackle multiple personality disorder in new seasonal anthology series for Apple TV

The Spider-Man star will play Billy Milligan, the first person to be acquitted of a felony due to multiple personality disorder, now known as dissociative identity disorder, in The Crowded Room

The 10-part series comes from Akiva Goldsman of A Beautiful Mind, who will write and direct the production It will be produced by Birdman and the producer of 12 Years a Slave New Regency, who is increasingly interested in TV series such as The Beast Must Die by Jared Harris and Apple Studios Holland will play throughout the first season

The Crowded Room is an anthology series that will explore the true and inspiring stories of those who have struggled and learned how to live successfully with mental illness The first season is inspired by the biography of Daniel Keyes, The Minds of Billy Milligan

Holland will lead production alongside Goldsman, who will lead production through its Weed Road Productions banner The series will also be produced by Alexandra Milchan for EMJAG Productions and Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer of New Regency
