The 33-year-old actor was a finalist for the ITV’s Series 3, but Chris believes he was sidelined by the show’s bosses during “ Dancing on Ice: The Greatest Show On Ice ”
Chris – who played Tommy Duckworth on ‘Coronation Street’ – wrote on Twitter: “Sadly, hardly any of my best songs have been shown on ‘Dancing on Ice’ tonight I was kinda expecting this but can’t say I’m not disappointed as I gave this show a huge amount, coming in second with my partner Frankie in 2008 and continuing to win UK tours of the show in direct
“I had some of the best times of my life being part of Dancing on Ice and the tours that followed, learning more and more about skating with the wonderful professionals and having a lot of fun during the process I have always had incredible support from DOI fans for which I will always be incredibly grateful Team Fountain was born from my family, friends and the public (sic) “
Chris has fond memories of the series, but feels he was unfairly ignored by the stage
In his post, the actor explained: “These are moments that will stay with me forever, so I am very grateful to them and although it is unfortunate to be almost cut off from the memory of the history of the show, I know, and fans of the show know I was there And, for that, I’m extremely proud My routines don’t have to be in the ‘best bits’ show to remember of what I have accomplished but it would have been nice to see them and remember them!
“Thanks to everyone who sent lovely messages tonight and thanks Frankie for being the most amazing original partner and Brianne for being a fantastic partner on tour! Good luck to the contestants this year and love to everyone involved in the show, both in front of and especially behind the camera Chris x (sic) “
