Emergency services are looking for a young boy who went missing while swimming in a waterfall in the Gold Coast hinterland on Thursday afternoon
At around 5 p.m., police received reports that a young boy who was swimming at Cedar Creek Falls in Tamborine Mountain was missing
The boy, aged 10 to 12, is believed to have been swimming with friends when he called for help
A whitewater rescue team, in addition to several police, QFES and ambulance teams, is on hand to search for the boy in the rock pools
Just after 7 p.m., police said the boy was still not found and the search was underway
