It’s strange that just a few months ago we were saying how unusual it is for a team like the Golden State Warriors to have one of the top picks in the NBA Draft. Now, less than a year later, the Dubs are having the same conversation

Except this once it’s even weirder The Dubs have a chance to draw two lottery picks this season in what should be a busy draft No matter where they land, the Dubs should be excited

We’ll start with the Warriors’ first round pick Currently Dubs have the 13th best odds to win the lottery They have less than four percent chance of getting a top four pick and one percent chance chances of jumping to the first

Barring some miracles, the Dubs will likely pick out of the top 10 when it comes to their own pick. However, there’s nothing wrong with The Warriors could really find a hidden gem here with the potential for names like Corey Kispert, Jaden Springer, Franz Wagner passing the lottery in the background

When it comes to picking the Minnesota Timberwolves, not much has changed since we last looked at lottery odds Wolves and Houston Rockets remain top three teams with around 60% chance of falling in the top three In that case, the Warriors would retain the Wolves’ first-round pick

Being fourth or fifth in order would be fantastic for the Dubs Of course, they will likely miss the opportunity to draft Cade Cunningham or Jalen Suggs after his electric performance in the Final Four – but there are other players who deserve to be considered Names like Jalen Green, Evan Mobley and Jonathan Kuminga may all be available

I can’t stress enough that it would be foolish to add any of these talents to the already strong young core of the Warriors Developing players like James Wiseman, Jordan Poole and Eric Paschall alongside two picks from lottery is an easy way to rebuild the dynasty

If I had my pick of the top prospects, I think Jalen Green would be the most exciting to join the Warriors. His elastic athleticism and fluid shots give him all the makings of a superstar Not to mention, his arms terribly long could help him become a lockdown advocate someday

Then at the bottom of the lottery picking an experienced varsity player like Corey Kispert would be ideal This allows the Warriors to throw lineups that provide a good variety of experience and youth Kispert has played four seasons with Gonzaga and pulled out 445 percent of the 3 point line in its last year

But like I said the Warriors will just be happy to pick one of the best guys here All are loaded with potential Hopefully the Dubs will have some interesting lineup next season
