Meghan McCain on Tuesday doubled down on her attacks on Dr Anthony Fauci – accusing him of endangering people with an’ intentional lie ‘on masks when COVID-19 ravaged the Big Apple for the first time

The ‘The View’ co-host tore the White House infectious disease expert apart as she defended her call on Monday for him to be replaced by someone who ‘understands the science’

“He told me not to wear a mask and masks don’t work when I was 3 months pregnant in mid-Manhattan,” tweeted McCain, 36, who gave birth to her daughter , Liberty, in September

“He then later admitted that it was an intentional lie so that we were giving masks to essential workers Now I’m told to wear 2 masks

“But yes, I am ‘lost’, wrote McCain, daughter of the late Sen John McCain, with obvious sarcasm

“The message is incredibly inconsistent and confusing,” she added in a follow-up tweet, saying she represented “the feelings of many Americans”

McCain sparked a firestorm on Monday when she quarreled with co-host Whoopi Goldberg, claiming she was “over Dr. Fauci”

“Frankly, I think the Biden administration should fire him and put in somebody who understands the science,” she said

In Tuesday’s tweets, she said she “honestly expressed my frustration” on the show, adding: “I also think our holy infallibility public figures are dangerous and irrational”
